My puppy isn't fully vaccinated - Can i still attend training?
Yes! Puppies need to be up to date for their vaccinations based on their age. Our puppies have their own separate classroom from other adult dogs. It is important to start training and socialising your puppy ASAP!

When are your weekly group classes?
Session 1: Wednesdays @ 7pm & Sundays @ 10am - Introduction session, puppies, level 1, level 2
Session 2: Wednesdays @ 8pm & Sundays & 11am - Manners class, level 3, level 4, advanced classes

How old does my puppy need to be to attend training?
Puppies can start attending training from 8 weeks old.

Does weekly classes run on public holidays/ long weekends?
The Alpha Canine Centre is closed on Public Holidays and Long weekends. Follow our socials for updates.

Do weekly obedience classes still go ahead when its raining?
YES! We have a fully indoor facility.

Do I need to bring treats for my dog?
Nope! We use a food free dog training method

Can my children attend classes too?
Dog Training is an adult concept. Children must be over the age of 12 (based on trainers discretion) to handle the dog during class and must have adult supervision. Younger children are welcome to watch.

Can I train multiple dogs at once?
Each dog attending classes or lessons must have their own handler

Will there be testing to pass through each level?
Yes! We want to make sure that you and your dog are fully competent at each exercise before progressing to the next level. It’s about training your dog to a high standard - not simply about passing through each level
